In response to the recent news that St. Vincent’s may shut down, Governor David A. Paterson is convening a task force whose purpose is to provide a feasible means by which the hospital can be saved.

Comprised of government officials and representatives from the hospital staff, creditors, and unions, the group has four weeks to work with Mark E. Toney, the hospital’s chief restructuring officer, to come up with a solution to keep St. Vincent’s doors open. But it's also going to take some smarts and some real work.” Click here to read an NY1 article on the Task Force
