Beginning 2010, with a dedicated focus to assist Manhattan-based nonprofit organizations, the Manhattan Borough President’s Office (MBPO) held the first of two nonprofit assistance workshops on January 26. "Help for Nonprofits: Pre-consulting Day Workshops for the New York City Nonprofit Community" is a collaborative effort between the MBPO and Baruch College’s Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management (CNSM). The workshops are designed to provide nonprofit organizations with a novel approach to evaluate internal operations and pinpoint areas that required external expertise, and prepare them for CNSM’s Consulting Day event, a one-day seminar where nonprofit organizations are provided with pro-bono consulting services from professionals in various fields.
